Nile River

The Nile belongs near the center of the atlas because it is legible at multiple scales: long-distance river corridor, major drainage basin, floodplain landscape, and delta system.

Basin logic

The river record should explain how tributaries, confluences, seasonal flow, and lowland floodplain form give the Nile its geography. A strong atlas page can move from source regions through corridor structure to the downstream delta without losing physical coherence.
